Texas Eco-Regions; Trans-Pecos

The Trans-Pecos region in Texas has a broad variety of animals and plants.  It is generally dry and warm.  The animals of this region include antelope,  rabbits, deer, birds, and fish because it is near the Rio Grande.  An is example of a herbivore is the mule deer, an example of a carnivore is a coyote, and an example of an omnivore is the black bear.  The three main types of vegetation are the fragrant verbena, the Indian mallow, and the prairie acacia.
